The main theorem of this paper is that for every \(s\)-tensor norm \(\alpha\) on the \(n\)-fold symmetric tensor product \(\bigotimes^{n,s}E\) there exists a tensor norm \(\beta\) on \(\bigotimes^n E\) such that the restriction of \(\beta \) to \(\bigotimes^{n,s}E\) is equivalent to \(\alpha\).
