On application of a TVD scheme on moving adaptive grids for solving gas dynamics problems (English)

A finite difference scheme is proposed which generalizes the well-known Harten scheme [\textit{A. Harten}, J. Comput. Phys. 49, 357-393 (1983; Zbl 0565.65050)] to the case of moving adaptive grids. A similar generalization to the case of a scalar equation was presented in [\textit{V. B. Barakhnin}, \textit{N. V. Borodkin} and \textit{V. B. Karamyshev}, Russ. J. Numer. Anal. Math. Model. 14, No. 4, 299-309 (1999; Zbl 0951.76056)]. The scheme proposed has the second order of approximation for smooth solutions only but provides a possibility of obtaining non-oscillating solutions with essential economy of computational time.
