A fourth-order difference scheme for Navier-Stokes equations on a five-point template (English)
0 references
The method of undetermined coefficients is used to construct a fourth-order accuracy difference scheme. The schemes proposed are simplified by extension of the system of Navier--Stokes equations. Numerical experiments are carried out on a flow of viscous liquid in a square cavity. The numerical results obtained agree with results of other authors, see for example [\textit{U.Ghia}, \textit{K. N. Ghia}, and \textit{C. T. Shin}, J. Comput. Phys. 48, 387-411 (1982; Zbl 0511.76031)] and [\textit{C. H. Bruneau} and \textit{C. Jouron}, J. Comput. Phys. 89, No. 2, 389-413 (1990; Zbl 0699.76034)].
