Projectile regime of a two-layer shallow water flow (English)
0 references
The author considers two-layer shallow water equations in a long horizontal channel, and parameters of periodic travelling waves which correspond to the transition from rolling waves to the projectile regime of the flow. It is shown that, taking into account the turbulent friction on the channel walls and on the fluid interface, it is possible to obtain ``anomalous'' flow regimes which are characterized by a two-parameter family of periodic discontinuous waves and sudden rebuilding of the flow.
