Stability of the reconstruction of refraction coefficient for a horizontally stratified medium (English)
0 references
The problem of reconstruction of refraction coefficient is studied for a layered inhomogeneous medium, assuming that the acoustic field is known at some points. Using the normal wave method, the author reduces this problem to the construction of a coefficient in Sturm--Liouville equation on a finite interval if the spectral function and one boundary condition are known. Stability estimates are obtained.
