Acoustic influence of a hard wall in the vibration method of determining rheological properties of liquid media (English)

Oscillations are studied of a thin plate located in a viscoelastic medium bounded by a hard wall. The plate is supposed to perform accomplish undamped harmonic oscillations at its resonance frequency. The distance is changed between the plate and the hard wall. Using the linear viscoelasticity approximation, the author obtains an analytic solution to the problem on interaction between the vibrator, the liquid, and the hard wall. The solution obtained makes it possible to find the dynamical elasticity modulus and the viscosity of the liquid.
