A method for numerical calculation of viscous flows in bounded domains (English)
0 references
The authors propose a numerical approach to solve in bounded domains initial-boundary value problem for Navier-Stokes equations in streamfunction-vorticity formulation. The method is based on the splitting of operators into physical processes. For solving implicit finite difference equations, the authors employ a separate calculation of the streamfunction and vorticity, and for Poisson equation two boundary conditions \(\psi = \partial\psi/ \partial n = 0\) are used simultaneously. Test calculations are carried out for two boundary conditions for vorticity.
