Model of dynamics of the atmosphere with monotone numerical schemes (English)

In order to construct an efficient numerical algorithm for solving a three-dimensional problem of atmosphere thermodynamics, the method is used of constructing the schemes of splitting. At first, the initial system of differential equations is reduced to a series of simple problems, then for each of these problems an integral identity is created. The obtained integral identity allows us practically completely to reproduce the scheme of constructing finite difference approximations. This approach makes it possible to construct monotonic difference schemes of second-order approximation with respect to spatial variables which are absolutely stable. For testing of the difference schemes obtained some numerical experiments are carried out which show that schemes work satisfactory.
