Three-dimensional model of fog propagation in the air over a cooling pond (English)

A three-dimensional hydrothermodynamic atmosphere model is suggested that describes a propagation of vapor fogs. Such fogs arise at the expense of inflow of a water vapor from a surface of a basin when its temperature is much higher than that of an ambient air. The turbulent exchange is described by \((k-\varepsilon)\)-turbulence model. The flows of heat and moisture from the reservoir surface are given by complete formulas. Results of numerical calculations of microclimatic changes are presented by using the meteorological data in the neighborhood of the Haranor hydropower station.
