Flow regimes formed by a counterflow jet in a supersonic flow (English)
0 references
The authors investigate the effects of dynamic pressure, Mach number and temperature of a jet injected from a body upstream of a free supersonic flow on the formation of the flow around the body. In particular, the authors identify the flow regimes which provide the maximal drag reduction, and give an approximate criterion which allows to estimate the applicability of various models of jet penetration into the flow.
