Calculation of the hydrodynamic interaction of blade cascades with consideration for the diffusion of unsteady wakes (English)
0 references
The author develops a semianalytic method to calculate the hydrodynamic interaction of two blade cascades performing a relative motion. The potential perturbation of the flow by cascades, and the vortex perturbation due to blade edge wakes are taken into account. Along with steady wakes caused by the boundary layer separation from the blade cascades, the author also considers the unsteady wakes separating from blade trailing edges due to the change in velocity circulation. An approximate boundary-layer theory is used to calculate the unsteady wakes in the presence of their diffusion caused by the flow viscosity. The method can be implemented on a personal computer. Examples of calculation and a comparison with experiment are given.
