The author presents a simple sufficient condition for non-hamiltonicity of a graph in terms of 2-matchings and gives a comparison with other known sufficient conditions for non-hamiltonicity (in terms of toughness, edge-toughness, path-toughness, crossing paths and the existence of a 2-factor).
