The author discusses the Mayer variational problem on optimal rocket flight in the Newtonian force field. The motion equations are taken in the form proposed in paper [{ A.~G.~Azizov} and { N.~A.~Korshunova}, Celest. Mech. 38, No. 4, 297--306 (1986; Zbl 0602.70017)]. For the intermediate-thrust arcs new classes of analytical solutions are obtained. A problem on determining the flight trajectory with a fixed time between given coaxial elliptic orbits in the central force field is conside red as example.
