The authors propose an extension of the Novozhilov method [{ V.~V.~Novozhilov}, Prikl. Mat. Mekh. 33, No. 2, 212--222 (1969); J. Appl. Math. Mech. 33, 777--790 (1970; Zbl 0206.54802)] of the investigation of equilibrium cracks for the case of the disk-shaped crack. Two cases of the crack opening are discussed: the first one -- under the action of two normal and opposite directed lumped forces and the second -- under the one-axial homogeneous extension in infinity. In both cases a possi ble interval of the equilibrium crack diameters is determined.
