The paper deals with the high-speed inertial motion of a rigid elongated revolution body. It is assumed that the body is moving in the infinite isotropic homogeneous elastoplastic medium. The author presents the results of the qualitative investigation of motion stability of a rigid body in medium. For the appropriate mathematical model the bifurcation points of the stationary solutions are found (for the continuous flow and for the cavitation with small asymmetric separation regions on the body l ateral surface).
