Estimates of the optical thickness for some processes of unlimited compression of gas (English)
0 references
The author studies the unlimited unshocked compression of ideal gas under conditions that initially the gas is at rest inside a cylinder, sphere, tetrahedron or a body of revolution with triangular generatrix. It is shown that the optical thickness grows infinitely. Its growth asymptotics is determined near the gas collapse to a point.
