A modified Multhopp-Kalandiya method in the contact problem for slider bearing (English)

The authors study equilibrium of an elastic circular disk and elastic plane with circular hole under plain strain conditions. Using the solutions of these problems, the authors formulate a contact problem for sliding bearing. To solve the obtained integral equation, the Multhopp-Kalandiya method is applied [\textit{A. I. Kalandija}, ``Mathematische Methoden der zweidimensionalen Elastizität''. (Matematiceskie metody dvumernoi uprugosti.). (Russian) Moskau: Verlag ``Nauka'' (1973; Zbl 0277.73021)]. Some solutions are presented in graphs.
