The paper treats the generalized plane problem of three bodies (material points with masses \(m_1\), \(m_2\) and \(m_3\)). In contrast to the classical statement of the three-body problem, the authors consider the connection of two of three bodies by a weightless elastic cable. Discussed is the gyroscopic stability of motion of two connected bodies with unequal masses.
