Investigation of the stability of periodic motions of an autonomous Hamiltonian system in a critical case (English)
0 references
The author considers an autonomous Hamiltonian system with two degrees of freedom, for which the Hamiltonian does not depend explicitly on time and is analytical in a neighborhood of perturbed motion. The critical case is discussed: all multipliers are real and have moduli equal to unity. As examples, the author studies the stability of steady rotation of a heavy circular disk colliding with steady horizontal plane, and the stability of plane rotation of a rigid body around a fixed point.
