Some applications of support functionals (sets) in \(C^\ast\)-algebras and convexity (English)

The authors of this very short paper investigate support points in \(C^{\ast }\)-algebras. The relations of the support points with positive bounded linear functionals and the characters are discussed as well. It is shown several applications of the support functionals in connection with positive functionals and Hermitian elements in a \(C^{\ast }\)-algebra.
