An invariant measure of chaos for homogeneous cosmologies (English)

The problem of defining chaos in cosmologies is the coordinate-dependent Lyapunov exponent. The dependence stems from the fact that time is a coordinate and not absolutely defined over all of phase-space. Appropriate coordinate transformations lead to an invariant parametrization of the cosmological system's evolution. With the help of this the authors investigate an invariant definition of the Lyapunov exponent.
