Reducing the limitation on application of synchronous decorrelating detector CDMA systems (English)

This paper deals with decorrelating detector CDMA systems. The authors applied a special linear transformation to the output of a matched filter bank. The transformation exhibits a good asymptotic efficiency and has substantially better performance than the conventional single user detector while maintaining a comparable ease of computation. By fixing cross correlation between signals using orthogonal coding and bent signature sequences, the authors implement the transformation in a simple and expandable way. The efficiency and near-far resistance of the transformation is comparable to the optimum multi-user detector.
