Let \(K\hookrightarrow L\) be a normal extension of algebraic number fields, \(G=\text{Gal}(L/K)\) and \(R_K\), \(R_L\) the rings of integers from \(K\), respectively \(L\). The author finds a method to determine the Artin symbol for any pair of prime ideals \((P,Q)\), \(P\subset R_K\) and \(Q\subset R_L\), when \(G\) has rational valued characters.
