This paper deals with the singularly perturbed problem NEWLINE\[NEWLINE-\varepsilon u''- b(x) u'+ c(x)u= f(x)\quad\text{in }(0,1),\;u(0)= u(1)= 0,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE \(\varepsilon\) a small positive parameter, \(b(x)\geq 1\). On two pages the author gives an answer to the question ``\dots what happens if we use a wrongly placed fine mesh, that means a finite mesh not placed in the layer region bu tsomewhere else?''.
