Using the generalized normalized diode characteristics, two analytical functions are proposed. The first one is continuous, and the second one has two definitions according to the values of the normalized voltage of an ideal diode. Based on some curves of the relative error versus normalized voltage, the author concludes that the proposed trial functions have good accuracy and a correct asymptotic behaviour for positive and negative values of normalized voltage.
