In a recent paper, \textit{Michieli} [Radiat. Phys. Chem. 51 (2), 121-128 (1998)] has introduced a generalized form of the secant integral, which is encountered in some radiation field problems. This paper deals with a further generalization of the secant integral. A series representation in terms of incomplete gamma functions is derived. \{Reviewer's remark: The readers are referred to a paper by \textit{L. A.-M. Hanna} and the reviewer [Radiat. Phys. Chem. 59, 281-285 (2000)], where this generalization has already been considered, and some properties including recurrence formulas and series expansions are established\}.
