Schauder basic sequences are studied in general locally convex spaces and results for such sequences are derived in the dual of a Fréchet space.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEMoreover, it is proved that if countable bounded sets in the dual of a Fréchet space \(E\) have a certain property (of finite local order) then the dual \(E'\), with the strong topology, is the inductive limit of a sequence of Banach spaces.
