Fixed point theorems for generalized contractive mappings on generalized bounded metric spaces (Q2764913)

The paper calls the notion of a so-called \(D\)-metric space, provides some ``\(D\)-metric'' concepts and establishes some of their properties. Then some results concerning the ``\(D\)-metric'' fixed point theory are proven. Assumptions are similar to those present in the usual context of the theory of (generalized) contractive or nonexpansive maps. Some older fixed point theorem (valid in metric spaces) follow as corollaries. No examples of concrete situations, which can not be covered by these older results, are given.
