The Bach's two-body solution in general relativity is investigated. When the mass of one of the point particles tends to zero, there exists a covariant definition of the gravitational force experienced by that mass due to the other mass. It is shown that the limit of this force, divided by the mass of the particle experiencing that force, coincides with the gravitational acceleration of the Schwarzschild field due to the other mass.
