The effect of numerical integration in finite element methods for more general nonlinear parabolic integrodifferential equations (English)
0 references
The author discusses the effect of numerical integration in finite element methods for more general nonlinear parabolic integro-differential equations, which replaces the term \(u_t\) by the term \(c(x,u)_t\). The author give some sufficient conditions to ensure that the order of convergence is unaltered in the presence of numerical integration, and the optimal \(L^2\) and \(H^1\) error estimates are established.
