Homotopy theory induced by cones (English)

The author presents an abstract homotopy theory based on a cone functor [\textit{E. Padrón} and the second author, Suppl. Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo, II. Ser. 24, 465-474 (1990; Zbl 0726.18005)]. This allows to obtain homotopy groups of based objects and exact sequences as well. Then a list of examples is presented.
