This paper the semiclassical limit of the coherent-state propagator in one dimension,starting from from path integral, is studied in a detailed way. Due to the overcompleteness of coherent states the path integral for the coherent-state propagator is not unique. The different possibilities are discussed with a comparison among them. The initial-value representation is derived and compared with other previous approaches
