The autor proceeds with her study of fibrations by means of perturbing them into taut foliations, begun in \textit{R. Roberts} [ibid., III. Ser. 82, 747--768 (2001; Zbl 1034.57016)].NEWLINENEWLINENamely, a taut foliation \(F\) of an oriented manifold \(M\) realizes boundary slope \(r\) if \(F\cap\partial M\) consists of parallel curves of slope \(r\). The author obtains results for manifolds obtained by surgery along knots and their satellite knots as well as for hyperbolic manifolds and calculates the corresponding slopes.
