On weakly \(\mathcal P\)-regular semigroups (English)

\(\mathcal P\)-regular semigroups have been introduced by \textit{M. Yamada} and \textit{M. K. Sen} [Semigroup Forum 39, No. 2, 157-178 (1989; Zbl 0664.20039)] and form a common generalization of orthodox semigroups and regular \(*\)-semigroups. In the paper, the concept is generalized once more to ``weakly \(\mathcal P\)-regular semigroups''. The greatest idempotent separating congruence on such a semigroup is studied and some structural results are obtained (most of them being generalizations of classical results).
