The authors present a mathematical model to describe the lift-off of circular particles in a plane Poiseuille flows of Newtonian fluids. The governing equations describe fluid and particle dynamics. Two-dimensional numerical simulation is performed, and a correlation of lift-off of many particles is obtained from numerical data.
