Employing a linear feedback controller explicit numerical criteria are derived for the stabilization of steady state solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations. The work is based on a closed-loop standard Galerkin or nonlinear Galerkin discretization and no a priori knowledge is required about the steady state solution.
