The present study, elaborated by the Harald group, is devoted to the history of graph theory and combinatorics.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEMoreover, information is provided on the Novembertagung of the second millenium, held in Břno, Czech Republic. The special topic of the meeting, i.e. ``Mathematics and Culture of the 11th Novembertagung'' analyzes the cultural creations such as the Czech hymn of graph theory, the studies of Chvátal, and other aspects in the field.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe history and evolution of graph theory is surveyed over 200 years, that is between 1736-1936, mention being made of the contributions brought by Euler, Kircher, Llull, as well.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEGraphs of today and notations in graph theory are presented in other sections of the study.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0976.00021].
