Open questions in arithmetic algebraic geometry (English)

This is a survey paper which presents some conjectures in arithmetic algebraic geometry and mentions related known results. The central objects of the study are elliptic curves and abelian varieties usually defined over an algebraic number field. It contains questions and results about torsion subgroups, ranks of their Mordell-Weil group, the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjectures, and the \(ABC\) conjectures. To some extent it is also accessible to graduate students and contains examples and exercises.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0974.00034].
