This is a brief introduction to elementary number theory. There are chapters including exercises on integers, the Euclidean algorithm, congruences, the distribution of primes, factoring large numbers, number-theoretic functions, the theorems of Fermat, Euler, Lagrange and Wilson, higher degree congruences and primitive roots. Finally some applications on calendars, tournament schedules, computer arithmetic, cryptography and coding theory are given.
