This book covers the basic topics of combinatorics in a very accessible form and is meant for students of mathematics and computer science as well as of science and economics. The material is introduced starting from simple examples. There are few formal proofs, since the statements are developed during the exposition. A strong emphasis is laid on generic methods. The book covers counting problems, generating functions, recursions, the evaluation sums and differences, graphs, posets and permutations. Several (solved) exercises are contained.
