Rates of convergence to stable and discrete stable laws (English)
0 references
After a brief review of discrete stability and (discrete) domains of attraction, the authors derive rates of convergence for the convergence of (discrete) normed sums to discrete stable distributions. An important aid is the fact that a discrete distribution is in the domain of attraction of a discrete stable law of exponent \(\gamma \in (0,1]\) iff it is in the classical domain of attraction of a stable law of exponent \(\gamma\). Some examples are given.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0968.00043].
