The author estimates \(r(f(A)f(B^{-1})^{-1})\) and \(\|f(A)f (B^{-1})^{-1}\|\) for some positive operators \(A,B\) acting on a Hilbert space and a positive operator monotone function \(f\) on \((0,\infty)\) (here \(r(T)\) is the spectral radius of an operator). Lieb's concavity for the trace of a certain function is also considered in a general form.
