A model for simulation of particle collection in filter mats (English)
0 references
The paper concerns the cleaning of industrial gases, i.e. a mixture of gas and low concentrated solid particles, by the flow through fibrous filters. It is important that the filter changes its properties during the throughflow, e.g. particles deposit on the fibres so that the filtration efficiency increases. Whereas the author clearly describes what happens with the pollutant during the cleaning process, the theoretical and numerical contents of the paper are rather scarce.
