The authors reprove and improve a result from [\textit{L. Heindorf}, Commentat. Math. Univ. Carol. 33, No. 2, 329-334 (1992; Zbl 0789.54011)], which states that Dugundji spaces have binary closed subbases consisting of closed sets. The improvement is two-fold: the subbase may be taken closed under complementation and the induced convexity structure yields a (continuous) median operation on the underlying space.
