The authors introduce and study a generalized hypergeometric factorial moment distribution of order \(k\), which reduces to the generalized hypergeometric factorial moment distribution of \textit{A. W. Kemp} and \textit{C. D. Kemp} [Bull. Int. Stat. Inst. 43, 336-338 ] for \(k= 1\). Their results generalize and unify some results on binomial and negative binomial distributions of order \(k\) of the reviewer [in: Fibonacci numbers and their applications, Math. Appl., D. Reidel Publ. Co. 28, 203-227 (1986; Zbl 0602.60023) and Ann. Inst. Stat. Math. 40, No. 3, 467-475 (1988; Zbl 0679.62012)], \textit{J. Panaretos} and \textit{E. Xekalaki} [ibid. 38, 223-231 (1986; Zbl 0614.62012) and Commun. Stat., Theory Methods 18, No. 1, 355-366 (1989; Zbl 0696.62032)].
