The author summarizes, from his point of view, the outcome of the discussion of his paper ``The paradoxical success of fuzzy logic'' [ibid. 9, 3-8 (1994; Zbl 1009.03517)] that was published in the same issue of IEEE Expert and tries to make, in some detail, his point of view more transparent.
