It is well known that several equilibrium problems can be formulated in the framework of elliptic equations of second-order. In this paper, the authors have studied the existence of extremal fixed-points for a family of increasing operators in ordered Banach spaces. The results are used to show the existence of a solution of elliptic equations on the whole space with discontinuous nonlinearities.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0992.49001].
