The book presents LAPACK95 that is a Fortran 95 interface to the Fortran 77 LAPACK library. It is extremely useful to scientists, engineers and programmers who develop Fortran 95 codes and need reliable numerical software for linear algebra. LAPACK95 user's guide represents an excellent companion to the third edition of LAPACK user's guide published by \textit{E. Anderson}, \textit{Z. Bai}, \textit{C. Bischof}, \textit{S. Blackford}, \textit{J. Demmel}, \textit{J. Dongarra}, \textit{J. Du Croz}, \textit{A. Greenbaum}, \textit{S. Hammarling}, \textit{A. McKeeny} and \textit{D. Sorensen} (1999; Zbl 0934.65030), to which the authors of this new volume frequently refer throughout the text.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe material is organized in three parts and ten chapters: Part I -- General information (1. Essentials, 2. Contents of LAPACK95, 3. Documentation design and program examples, 4. Performance and troubleshooting), Part II -- Driver routines (5. Driver routines for linear systems, 6. Driver routines for least squares problems, 7. Driver routines for standard eigenvalue problem, 8. Driver routines for generalized eigenvalue problems, 9. Driver routines for singular value problems) and Part III -- Computational routines (10. Computational routines).NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe book also includes a list of relevant bibliographic references, a comprehensive index by keywords and an index by routine names.
