This is a survey article on main streams of investigations in algebraic analysis. The author deals with the following topics: foundations of algebraic analysis, spectral properties of right inverses, logarithms and antilogarithms, the trigonometric identity, Fourier series and special functions. The open problems posed in the paper concern Leibniz algebras, true shifts, Fourier series, and the theory of special functions.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0972.00067].
