This paper is devoted to fixed point iterations (shortly FPIs). The author shows that FPIs can be considered as coming from methods for the numerical integration of ODEs. Reciprocally, numerical methods for ODEs can be used in the solution of fixed point problems. Thus, FPIs can lead to new methods for the numerical integration of ODEs, and conversely. Summarizing, this paper presents the connections between numerical methods for ordinary differential equations, fixed point iterations and sequence transformations.
